With teams based in Singapore, India, and the Philippines, Progress combines deep regional insight with global best practices. The firm maintains strong partnerships with leading legal and advisory firms, auditors, fund administrators, and other key service providers to ensure operational excellence and governance of the highest standards.
Founded by Vikas Gattani, Progress Asia Capital is led by a team of experienced professionals from the global banking and asset management industries. Collectively, the management team brings over 75 years of experience across geographies, asset classes, and investment strategies.
Progress leverages this depth of expertise and its extensive network of relationships to provide institutional investors, family offices, and high-net-worth individuals access to differentiated and high-conviction investment opportunities. Vikas Gattani
Founder & CEO
Vikas is the Founder and CEO of Progress Asia Capital, which launched the Progress Capital Asia Fund in 2007 to invest across Asian equity markets. Over time, the firm sharpened its focus on Indian equities, expanding its platform through dedicated India-focused public and private market funds under Progress Ekam VCC — an umbrella fund structure managed by Progress Asia Capital.
An industry veteran with over 32 years of experience, Vikas has built a distinguished career investing across the Asia-Pacific region. His expertise spans multiple asset classes and investment strategies, complemented by deep experience in establishing and managing successful fund management businesses.
Before founding his own firm, Vikas served as Chief Investment Officer for Asia Pacific at JP Morgan’s internal hedge fund group. Earlier, he was Head of Proprietary Equities for Asia at Merrill Lynch, based in Hong Kong. Throughout his career, he has delivered consistent investment performance, led high-performing teams of investment professionals, and played a key role in driving profitability across leading global financial institutions.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Vikas is actively involved in education and leadership development initiatives. He serves on the Board of Governors of Anand Singapore International School, Chennai, and on the Board of Enabling Leadership, a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering leadership skills in children through play and creativity. He is also a guest lecturer at the National University of Singapore (NUS) Business School.
Vikas holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ahmedabad, and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Mumbai.

Anthony Siau
Partner & Executive Director
Anthony brings over 23 years of global capital markets experience spanning consultancy, advisory, and asset management.
He previously played a key role at RHB, where he grew the asset management business from USD 1 billion to USD 13 billion in AUM, primarily across public markets. As co-founder of Ericsenz Capital, he expanded into private markets, successfully investing in and exiting several high-profile unicorns, including Uber, Spotify, Airbnb, and Palantir.
Based in Singapore, Anthony is currently the Executive Director of Progress Asia Capital & Advisors, a MAS-licensed fund management company, and the Non-Executive Chairman of Kairos Capital Group. His work focuses on capital markets, private equity, and venture capital across Southeast Asia, Greater China, and Silicon Valley.
Anthony is also a regular conference speaker and media commentator on financial and economic issues, serving on the Advisory Board of the Asia Risk Conference Program and advising multiple startups.

Lawrence Ang
Director, AETP1 VCC
With 15+ years experience as a seasoned ESG advisor and energy transition expert, at the nexus of finance and Asia’s energy transition, Lawrence serves as Director on AETP 1 VCC. He is also the founder and Partner at Climate Smart Ventures, a Singapore-based transaction advisory firm specializing in harnessing the full spectrum of finance to deliver capital market-driven solutions that retire fossil fuel-fired plants and replace them with renewables in the context of a rapidly growing Asia. Prior to this role, he has served as a Senior Advisor for a range of Fortune 500 companies, family offices, and development projects in Asia and Africa cutting across themes such as clean energy, fisheries, innovative financing, SME development, and digital inclusion. To date, Lawrence has the unique achievement of having led transactions that have resulted in early coal plant retirement, blended finance facilities, and award-winning partnerships, that have altogether unlocked over USD 500M in sustainable investments.
Lawrence completed his EMBA from the Asian Institute of Management, and has diplomas on Behavioral Finance from Yale University, and Experimental Design for Business Innovation from the Stockholm School of Economics. He finished his undergraduate studies with a specialization in natural resources management from the Australian National University.

Hikmet Coskun
Senior Associate
With 5+ years of work experience, Hikmet is a senior analyst with Progress Asia Capital. He has worked at Insitor in venture equity and impact investing in three venture capital funds totalling approximately USD 100 million in AUM with focus on SE Asia and South Asia . He also led fund raising efforts for an impact focused venture capital fund. Prior to Insitor, Hikmet garnered private credit and fintech experience at a Fintech fund.
Hikmet attained his PhD degree in Materials Science and Engineering from National University of Singapore in 2019, specializing in Renewable Energy Materials, with a thesis on Perovskite Photovoltaics. Hikmet has been a CFA Charterholder and remains an active member of the CFA Society Singapore since 2022.

Ho Rui Yan
Manager – Finance
With 5+ years of work experience, Rui Yan leads finance and compliance functions at Progress Asia Capital. Prior to Progress, she was a Senior Associate in the Financial Services Assurance team at PwC Singapore, with experience in audit of clients in the Asset & Wealth Management sector and digital transformation projects.
Rui Yan holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting and Finance) from the University of Melbourne, and a Master of Commerce (Business Analytics) from the University of New South Wales Sydney. She is a member of CPA Australia.

Ding Bang Loo
Senior Analyst
Ding Bang is an investment professional involved in fund structuring, portfolio management, and transaction execution across Kairos Capital Group and its licensed fund-management arm, Progress Asia Capital & Advisors.
He supports the management of bespoke private-market vehicles spanning private credit, real assets, and venture investments. His work covers end-to-end responsibilities from investment due diligence and financial structuring to ongoing portfolio monitoring and investor reporting.
Ding Bang began his career with Standard Chartered Bank under its Wealth Management Graduate Programme, rotating across the Chief Investment Office, Discretionary Portfolio Management, and Credit Structuring teams. This experience built a strong foundation in financial markets, product analysis, and client advisory.
He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the National University of Singapore (NUS) Business School.
